Local-First Design

All your countdowns are stored locally on your device. We never see or collect your event data unless you explicitly choose to share a countdown.

What We Store When You Share

When you create a shareable link, only these details are stored on our servers:

Event title, date, emoji, and color
A randomly generated share link ID
Reaction count (anonymous)
A secret deletion token (stored only on your device - proves you own the data)

You Control Your Data

You have full control over your shared data:

Delete anytime: Use "Delete My Shared Data" in the app menu to permanently remove all your shared countdowns from our servers
No authentication needed: You own your data through a secret token stored only on your device
Your countdowns stay safe: Local countdowns remain on your device when you delete shared data
Privacy first: Only you can delete your shared data - viewers cannot

Privacy-Focused Reactions

When someone reacts to a shared countdown:

We temporarily use their IP address to prevent spam
IP addresses are one-way hashed and never stored in readable form
Rate limit: 1 reaction per hour per person
No cookies, no tracking, no user accounts

How do I create a countdown?

Tap the "+" button on the home screen, enter your event details, choose a color and emoji, then tap Save.

How do I share a countdown?

Open any countdown, tap the share button, and a public link will be generated. Share this link with anyone!

Can I delete my shared data from your servers?

Yes! You have full control. There are two ways:

Delete individual countdown: Delete any countdown from your app to also remove it from our servers
Delete all shared data: Use "Delete My Shared Data" in the app menu to permanently remove all your shared countdowns and reactions from our servers at once

Your local countdowns always remain safe on your device. You can delete shared data anytime without losing your local events.

Is my data private?

Absolutely. All your countdowns are stored locally on your device. Only the countdowns you explicitly choose to share are stored on our servers (just title, date, emoji, color). You can delete your shared data from our servers anytime using the "Delete My Shared Data" option in the app menu. You're always in control.

How do reactions work?

When viewing a shared countdown, double-tap anywhere to add a heart reaction. You can react once per hour. We use IP hashing to prevent spam while keeping you anonymous.

Is the app free?

Yes! Completely free with no ads, no tracking, and no in-app purchases.

Which platforms are supported?

The app is available for iOS and Android. Shared countdowns work on any browser (web, mobile, desktop).
